Default Hood Bouncing

Today I just picked up my new '98 Bonneville SE, and I absolutley LOVE it. Beats the hell out of the old 1991 Cutlass Supreme! Anyways, when I was driving home, I noticed the hood bouncing slightly more than normal at speeds over 55 mph. I checked everything, and it seems to be pretty tight, but I was able to jiggle the front of the hood about 1/4". Any suggestions?

there are little adjusting posts at either side of the hood, make sure those are in the correct position..and check the spring is ok.

You can also try lowering the latch just a little,I had to do that when I first got mine. Make sure you get it good and tight whenever ya' tighten things back up

I have recently worked with the posts and there is also a rubber bumper at the firewall end of the hood.

It'* helped... I think the latch might be the final key..

I agree. You need to slightly lower the catch from the latch, and adjust the posts. This will give better 'tension' when closed.
