Tie Rod Ends and Alignment
 

m'kay, I'm going to change out my RH tie rod end next weekend, but, if i put it close to where the old one was as far as alignment, I could drive it for a week before getting a pro alignment done right?

Depends on how much you drive in a week, and how "wrong" it feels. Setting the new one the same length as the old on should get you close enough to be drivable. We used to do this with an old 56 Chevy we raced on a dirt track oval back home. It's good enough to make it controllable, and sometimes you hit it dead on, but I would let the pro's line her up as soon as possible.

Count the turns when you take the old one off. But get an alignment when you can.

Brand spnking new tie rod end, I don't want a vital part to fail... If it wasn't raining I'd be doing it right now.....

You should be okay for a week (at your driving distance), do size new one up to the old one before you replace. I've had some replacements be a tad bit different in sleeve length (different aftermarket mfgs.). If they are, measure from grease fitting to grease fitting (inner and outer tie rod ends) then you can screw the new one on to that length. Good luck!
