over the winter i parkedmy car at my moms and someone tried to steal it by breaking the steering column where the multi function switch goes. luckily for me, the battery didn't have enough of a charge for it to start. i can'tafford a new column right now, but the car doesn'trun right. like its not getting enough fuel? could this be related to the steering column? i just replaced the harmonic balance and crankshaft position sensor hoping that would fix the problem,no luck. so now i'm about to replace the fuel pump i guess. i've also thought about running a hot wire to the fuel injectors? anyone got a steering column that they could part with at a decent price?

The steering column shouldn't effect the fuel pump, unless you are only getting 2-5 seconds of fuel and then it dies. That would be caused by the anti-theft system.

I don't have a column to part with, but there's a localish yard where they usually charge $50ish for one. Where are you located?
