Default Scan Tool

It'* evident to me that if I want to repair and diagnose my 95sse'* problems I'm going to need to invest in a scan tool. I do have a brand new Hewlett Packard laptop at home that would work great for this. Besides my 95 bonny I have an 86 Fiero GT, 92 cutlass and my folks and sister all have GM vehicles ranging from 92-02. Is there any one program or system that would be universal between all these, or made to work for that era. what sort of systems do all of you have? :?:

This stuff has been discussed before. Here is the thread that will give you some insight into the OBD for the '95 model year.
