Yes...please post them! I am very interested to find out what the params are.
Thanks, John |
While we're waiting for Pat to wake back up, I just wanted to say that I think the $750 you paid is reasonable for the work you had done. I know that some of us paid a LOT more for similar work (once). ;)

Thanks for the input. I thought it was reasonable, too. And the mechanic is a guy who has worked on this Bonne before, and does very good work.4 years ago, when the tranny failed on my (then future) wife, when others were insisting on a total rebuild, he took the car and just worked on 2nd gear, and we havent had an issue in 4 years and 75,000 miles - she paid one fourth of what a rebuild would have cost. BTW, he detailed the engine from the cover to the oil pan, just to make sure I could see if all the "leaks" were taken care of (see my sig line which I may have to change). The 3800 looks brand new! Ok..I just read the scanned info. Thanks for the scan. Now do these things happen in the sequence listed? Because if I am reading correctly (and I may very well not be  ) then the TCC lock happens in 3rd gear, and then the shift into 4th happens. In my case (when it's working right) I see a small drop in RPM (~500) at around 46 MPH on a level road. AT around 52 MPH, there is a larger drop in RPM, such that I run 55 MPH at around 1600 RPM. Of course, all of this is read using the dash gauges and as such there is a margin of error. But, the question is, "am I interpreting these pages correctly?
Thanks, John |
