Default 95 bonne needing some TLC and UIM

I have posted another thread but still need some answers..what I have is a 95 not supercharged w/160,000 miles on her. I don't know if it ever had a plenum replacement??. I am loosing water but not enough to see on the dip stick or any discoloration of the oil...thats the obvious problem I need to address. do I need to replace the lower gaskets as well??..the original problem that
I have is a really rough idle ..now this does not happen in the morning when it is cool not even all the time when it is hot. When it does idle rough it'* really rough like its hitting on 2 cyliders..I mean ROUGH..I changed the ICM w/ coil packs new wires and plugs. It doesn't seem to have any vacuum leaks...it runs fine @ higher rpm'* with an occasional miss w/check engine light on..... I am stumped...All I have is an odb2 tester for the engine codes...I have tried to have it tested @ a shop unable to communicate was the error message...I'm not a rich man need to do this cheap....little help

Well, I missed your other post, but I'm sure we can help you out. Since you mentioned that "all" you had was an OBD2 reader, you may already know that what you need is something like an Actron CP9145 with the OBD2 cable adaptor. Your '95 is the wierd year that has OBD1 codes and software, but an OBD2 connector.

You need to consider replacing both the UIM and the LIM gaskets ASAP. There'* tons of info on here, but start by reading this whole TECHINFO Article 38

BTW, where do you live? There may be a member close by with a code reader that will work.

Can you remove all six spark plugs & report back with their condition? Keep track of which cylinder each plug comes from.

And by the way I'm not driving the car during this ordeal so not to do any damage from a complete manifold failure
