Suspension Questions
 

The other day I rode in a friend's '98 Lumina, and I liked the ride much better in that car, because it seemed to soak up the little bumps very well, yet the handling and motion control was much better. In my FE1 car, the tiniest bumps can be felt, yet the car does soak up the big ones quite nicely, but with large wallowing motions.

Now I woudl like to add bigger sway bars, but I have heard it can cause uncomfortable motions over uneven surfaces, and recudes the independent motions of all 4 wheels, again this is just what I have heard

Second, I was also thinking of firmer struts, but I don't really want to feel the little bumps any more than I already do, but then Idk if that is because of bad tires or something else

I have goodyear assurance comfortred tires, which I am not to happy with as they seem to have constant balancing problems, and they are new

My struts are in good condition, as a bouce test shows the car is firm and the car barely bounces, so idk why so much wallowing while driving

What would make the Lumina handle so much better while still giving a mooth ride, and what can I do to make my car more like this?

The H Bodies for the longest time 87-99 for the Bonnevilles... Have been know to transmit more road data to the driver / passsenger/s as compared to other cars... Some have said this is due to the rigidity of the subframe up front and the design of the rear suspension...

The Sway bars will tighten up the suspension a little bit over uneven road... Make for a little bit more motion... But the FE1 will be somewhat absorbent to the inperfections in the road..

I don't think you are going to soften up the ride any more than what you have right now... But little changes will make it a better handler, but that comes at the price of transmitting a little more road data ;)

Everyone has a different preference. If I understand your tastes correctly, I'd improve the handling with the upgraded sway bars from an SSE or SSEi, then get better (softer) tires that are known to dampen road noise and bumps. You MAY end up with an imbalance in the feel if you upgrade your sways and not your springs.
