High Speed vibration
I know it was discussed a while ago.. but I can't find that thread anymore...
Anywho.. from 120km+ my car ( and steering wheel ) will start to vibrate then it will start smoothing out around 130km/h..
Here'* the few kicker. Its not the tie rod ends or the ball joint as my car just got safetied and alignment done.
Sometimes it won't vibrate at those speed..
I didn't really see any flat spot or bulges that may show signs of shifted belt on the tire. ( I do plan on swappin the tires with a friend to see later on ( amongst the thousands of things I have to do ))
I do however notice that the first thread on both front tires are wearing out pretty quickly ( too much negative camber from chassis tweak?? Car did go swimming ).. but I don't see how camber would make the car vibrate during straight line highway speed.
Its not the brake cause I dont' get a pulsing feeling when I apply the brakes ( signs of warped rotors/stuck calipers )
So I"m thinkin in a worse case scenario of bad hub bearings or driveshaft.. how do I check those?

It'* true that a slight tire imbalance will often manifest itself at one certain speed, so do check that out. It ha happened to me before that I have had to have more than one tire balance done to get it right. Plus the place that does it has to know when their equipment was last calibrated. It makes a difference!
A quick check for your wheel hub is to jack up the car so the tire is free of the ground and then check the tire for in/out movement with your hands placed at 12 and 6 and then again with hands at 9 and 3. Anything more than just a slight bit of movement is bad...

K.. here'* an update ( and why o why didn't I check before leaving Canada )
obviously I know my tires are shot.. I have inner wear on the first tread badly.. I looked and notice I was gettin a lot of brake dust on the passenger side more then the driver side.. so I was able to at least jack up one side at a time.. and it appears that the passenger side front caliper isn't releasing all the way.. so that may contribute to my issues.. I"m hopin to get my tires replaced and the slider pin greased for the long trip back to Canada before the white curse hits again...
I will update after it'* all done and go from there.
Wish me luck

I also suffer from these symptoms.
the shaking at OD engage.
and the shaking at over 100km/h.
The car has good balljoints, tierods, and i replaced one bearing and hub(passanger side).
i have balanced, switched tires and aligned at a few different shops.
everything seems to help a bit, but then it comes back to normal.
at first i tought it was a bad bearing and hub, replaced those, seemed to get better
but then worsend. Pads and rotors are ok, i jacked the car up and spun each tire around to see if there was any awkward bending or improperness in the tierods or balljoints, everything is OK and in workable condition.
The only things left to my knowledge is CV shafts and joints.
Maybe a faulty caliper.. havent checked.. will do.
Also i have read that a faulty fuelpump will give you the shakes at highspeeds.
i bought my fuelpump but have yet to install it- will do soon and report back.
