Default newbie with big problems...

Hello all,
Here'* my story....my son bought a 95 ssei about 5 months ago from a local dealer. The car ran GREAT...Then on the way back from Columbus ( we live near Cleveland OH) they noticed the smell of smoke, pulled over and fire was shooting out from under the car (prolly oil hitting exhaust)...had car towed home and taken to local machanic who informed us that engine is dead.

He said he started it and oil shot out from the right side of engine. We can't find a used engine locally but I found this place online.....

Any opinions would be helpful....

thanx

I got scared when I saw that price.

www.car-part.com shows a bunch of listings in Ohio. Also check with Ed Morad of Morad Auto Parts. He specializes in 3800'*, however he may not have any series 1 motors like yours.

Not likely worth fixing. Even if you find a cheap motor, the labor to change it out will easily exceed the value of the car. Sell it for what you can get and move on. Sorry, sad but true.
