Default HELP! 1992 Bonneville SSEi!!

Wow, so I picked up my first car that I've ever bought today, which happens to be a '92 Bonneville SSEi. Great car, if it'd work right. Ok, here are my problems:
1. Whenever I start up, the fuel gauge goes from full, to empty, to full, and then back to empty again. The "check gauges" light comes on.
2. I think it'* running kinda hot. It'* not in the red, but it'* around 240 I think.
3. It doesn't like to start sometimes. It'll start for about a second, then die, but it always starts the second time.
4. The power isn't constant. Maybe this is just the */c, but you really have to press the pedal down a bit to get it going. Also, at high revs, the engine sputters a lot. It probably just needs a tune-up, but idk.

If you guys could help me out, that would be great, but keep in mind, I'm a poor college student with only a part time job :P

1. That is the gauge test. Check gauges means you are low on gas, low oil pressure, high engine temps, etc.
2. Check for low coolant, leaks, or clogs.
3. Possibly a clogged fuel filter.
4.Is there a check engine light on?

coolant is fine, there'* something dripping, but I believe it to be condesation from the a/c.

That'll be replaced with the tune up

Nope. Mind you, it does have vast, mind beding, shape-shifting power, and it'll still burn rubber.

Update/Bump (sorry )
I just took it out for about a 10 mile drive, it started up pretty well, and the fuel gauge was normal. Everything else was still there
