1993 exhaust question..... welded or flanged
Ok so my luck with this car couldnt get any worse.. first some jackass hits me and runs..
now I was driving then bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ba ba ba ba I got a muscle car.. hahaha
where the header and the C.C. meet it came apart.. There appears to be no flange just one piece sorted flared and the other normal.. Is this supposed to be welded?
I checked the Chilton book and its got nothing on exhaust, I went to autozone and it also had nothing..
Curious on how to fix this.. And if it is a spot welded piece how much do you think its going to cost to get fixed?

You talking about the downpipe? If your cat is stock, it'* flanged, crimped, and welded to the cat at both the downpipe and intermediate pipe.
Even still, it shouldn't be more than 50 bones to repair, unless the cat is shot. Then look at about 125.
