SES light came on...Code 54
I looked in the Techinfo and there was no code 54, but thats what i counted, it runs just fine, i was driving, the light came on, then 25 minutes later it shut off, so this morning i did that paper clip trick with it, Any one know?

Oh.....CODE 54. Gotcha. You have the digital EGR. Clean the solonoid shafts and springs, then lube them. Probably just stuck. Most of us have had that at least once. That was used from 91-93, except on the EGR-less NA 92'*.

okay but how do i clean the solniod shafts and lubricate the sping...?

wd-40 is a good solvent, but a shitty lubricant. clean with it, and use a graphite based lube on the shafts and springs when ypo're done. Use a toothbrush (mom'*) and q-tips (sister'*).
