Cool 99 SSE noise when turning right only

I am needing some help, I have a 99 SSE Bonneville that makes a noise when turning to the right. If you turn left no noise. I first thought it was a CV shaft untill I listened better it sounds just like a chain dragging on the road. I jacked it up and checked, the boot on the cv is ok the only thing I found was that the sway bar link is busted. Also the faster you accel the louder it gets. Any ideas would be great, kindof worried it is coming from the trans.

Try fixing the endlink. A few have heard what they called Ringy dingy noises with bad endlinks.

Now that I've REALLY spent alot of time listening it sounds just like you are dragging a pop can on the street??? any more ideas??

Fix the known issue that could be making ringy dingy noises.

Being reasonable about it..the endlink could be your problem.

Ok, replaced both broken sway bar links. Noise still there. Last night I pulled the caliper/rotor off, cleaned any rust fromt the edges of the rotor and inspected the dust shield for and signs rubbing and found none. I am running out of ideas!!! I did spend ALOT of time listening to the noise and I can also tell you that once you are in a turn and the noise has started if you slip the trans into nuetral it does not change at all. The sharper you turn it does seem to effect the noise. It does make it when in reverse also. If you are going down the street at about 10mph and jerk the wheel to the right it makes the noise but very high pitch and loud. It sounds just like a piece of tin hitting something. Any help or ideas would be great I'm stumped

Sounds like possibly a bad wheel bearing. I just found out mine was bad on the left side. I get no noise but a vibration when the wheel is slightly turned to the left.

Jack the wheel off the ground by the lower control arm and try moving it horizontally and vertically. It helps if you have someone looking underneath at the same time to make sure you are not finding ball joint and/or tie rod play and mistaking it for a worn bearing. There should be no play or very little. If its a bad bearing its going to move noticeably and easily at all angles.

All seems tight and still makin the noise. Talked to our Matco guy last week at work (he used to be a GM tech). He seems to remember that the spider gears for the diff are on that side of the transmission, and since they are not loaded and I had the car up on stands it may not make the noise. Any ideas if anyone has ever herd of this??
