A bad airbag, improperly installed bag after an accident, corrosion on the main module connector, etc.
Be VERY carefull troubleshooting or mucking with this system.
Run a carfax. Any accidents in the car'* history?

Before you check into a new airbag, check your fusebox and make sure that the SIR fuse is in properly. If the fuse is either pulled out or loose, it will cause that warning light.

In reference to your other topic that I locked, the SRS system doesn't use the PCM. The inflatable restraint light doesn't come from your PCM.
