This would work in my 1998 SSE?

It'* a trunk pull down latch from a 1994 Park Avenue.

Might it interfere with the inflater?

Didn't think of that -might be why it wasn't an option on the B-ville. It was an option on the Park Avenue, Lesabre, 98, 88, LSS, Riviera, Cadillacs, and Aurora(?).

My electronic latch just broke on my 95 sle.
But i put in a solinoid from one of the door popper kits i bought and wired it up to the door button.
It works great. (but kind of ghetto)
If you want, post a pic of the inside of your trunk behind the key hole.
I could tell you if the old factory latch i had on my 95 will work?

I worked on one of these on a cadillac...they slammed the trunk one time and broke the plastic...I took it apart...couldnt believe how cheaply made it was.
