Default Looking at a 95 SSEi

Hey all... I'm looking at picking up a 95 SSEi from the wreckers... $750 CND, but I might be able to get it for $500... it has drivers side front end damage... the bumper, hood, fender, headlight support, and a headlight need to be replaced, and its missing one of the gold wheels, but does have 4 wheels. I'm not sure if the 4th wheel is in the trunk or not, since I couldn't get in to it.. The interior is in excelent condition.. only 1 tear, on the passenger side rear seat, just below where the seatbelt comes out on the top...

My main question is, depending on milage, and condition of the supercharger, engine, and transmission, is there anything else I should be looking for? I know there is some rust just behind the rear doors, but its not enough for me to worry about, as this is just something that I can rip around in... I'm just curious about common problems with these cars that I should look at, that might make me say its not even worth $500...

I do currently own a 90 SSE that I've put alot of time and money into, and I love to death, but there is just something about that simple little ' i ' that I like...

Any help from my fellow Bonnie-nuts would be apreciated....

as long as the engine and trans are complete, and the body isnt completely rotted away, id say $500 is a good deal

Well, the 95 looks like its a write off... so, what I'm thinking is following the lead of Frankenbonne.... Doing a drivetrain swap..... and ofcourse that is allways followed with a few questions.....

What kind of engine is in a 95 SSEi? It looks the same as my LN3... it doesn't have the slick black cover that Frankenbonne has, you can see the supercharger very clearly, the valve covers are basically the same as mine, so, in theory, the engine looks the same as mine...

I realise that the computer will have to be wired in to work the supercharger, and everything that runs off of the engine, that my 90 SSE doesn't have will need to be incorperated, but really, the whole process should be close to the same as a basic engine swap... just wiring in the 95 computer... no?

As much input as possible would be greatly apreciated... and if any members are in and around the Edmonton, Alberta area are around, some new friends who would be willing to help would be awsome too!

The one in the '95 is the Series I L67. It makes 225hp.
