Oil pan gasket!
I was wondering how much I should pay to have my oil pan gasket replaced, dealership quoted me @ $225...
(I'm lazy and dont like draining all the oil to do work, or working under the car)
I'm doing the rest of my gaskets myself (LIM, UIM, valve cover). Do I need to drain any oil or fluids for those? I'm sure it'* in the manual...

Why do you need it replaced? If it is leaking then obviously; however if you are changing you oil like you should be and it'* not leaking; no reason to change it. My 97 has had the gasket for just shy ~168,xxx miles and it never needed changing. BTW, I do not believe it will be in te manual on how th change gaskets unles it'* a service manual.

The dealer would be qouting you on the gasket...probably $60 or so, 1 hour labor about $80 or so, some engine sealant and cleaner, $20 and whatever else.
It'* a piece of cake job that takes an hour on ramps for an inexperienced person in teh garage. Key is the engine sealant.

I'm going to check to see if I really need the oil pan gasket. I have a minor leak, which could be valve cover gaskets or something else, but the oil pan gasket is relatively new (I assume since the oil pan was replaced a while ago). It does seem kind of soon but the way the oil is leaking it makes sense.
Oh, and I always change my oil, usually early.

I would check the pcv valve before changing the gasket. If pressure is building up in the crankcase you can change every gasket on that engine & oil will still leak out.
