Top Mounted Brake Light and a Spedo Question.
Hey, I was just wondering what the correct method for changing out the top mounted brake light in my 92 ssei is. I can get ahold of the fixture but I can't seem to twist it or get it to come out. Should I Be trying harder? Also, it seems that I have a ~5k difference between my hud display and my mechanical spedo. This difference only occurs below 100km/h. Your help is appreciated.
Oh, and This isnt much of a problem but it seems that after I installed this new K&N Air Filter that I get a tiny bit of a surge while idle. Your input on that is also greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

you should be able to get in the trunk and get to the third brake light bulb...you have to twist and then pull
and for the HUD and the Speedo, the HUD is accurate...there is always seems to be some difference in speed between the HUD and the cluster

Pat'* right on. Get in the trunk, get comfortable, and enjoy the black goo. You'll know what I mean after you do it.
The speedo is a mechanical device with friction. All of them will vary from the HUD somewhat.
Sounds like yours is 3mph slow or so. Normal. Mine lags the HUD by 2mph at 60mph.

That goo is the biggest problem with changing that bulb. No idea why they decided to use so much, but when I had to change mine out, it was glued in there with that mess. Unfortunately, you can't use any tools to help, because it'* just a bulb, so go by Will'* directions. Get comfortable, and fight with it.

Probably a tar like substance that they put over the top of the light..and as it warms..it seeps down.

I know my HUD, Scantool, and GPS all match. But the speedo lags 2mph at 60, 3 mph at 90.
