Starter problem

Hi this is my fist post here, I use many forums for computers and find them very helpful.
But today im am looking for some parts for The Bonnie and find a forum what luck.

I have a 1996 Bonnie SSE
When i start it it tries to turn over but then just quits.
I cant really explaine it but it gets about a 2 sec crank and dies.
I checked the battery and thats not it. So i got under and jumped the
starter on the cylinoid and it sounds like its spinnig after it tries to crank.
I think its the starter but i would like a second opinion before i go buy one.

And also i seen someone mention about turning off traction control on thier bonnie.
How can i do that?
Thanx for the help!!

Okay if you think its your starter take it off and have someone bench test it for you or if you know how do it yourself.
Also to turn off your traction control... On my 93 there was a pump right by the ABS that said TRACTION in yellow and black. You unplug the plug going to the pump and walla you can roast you tires....

Nope...well, ya, but only if you drop in a new engine, new tranny, PCM and wiring...then its possible
