Default Brakes go almost to the floor

My brakes almost go to the floor and i know all of the pads are good because i just changed them. I did drive around with worn pads longer than i should have and i figured that when i changed my pads the problem would go away. Someone has suggueseted that it might be my master cylinder or a line. I know that it isnt leaking any fluid at all. Can someone help?

It'* most likely your master cylinder. Has it ever been replaced on your car? They're notorious for failing on the Bonnevilles.

I agree on the master cylinder. But have the brakes been bled?

I don't think a Master Cylinder that is failing would cause any MIL or Brake Light to go on EXCEPT if the fluid gets too low.

Just did mine with the same symptoms but keep in mind that the rear brakes may be in need of adjustment if the adjuster is siezed. If the adjuster is good, just keep putting the parking brake on and off to adjust the rear brakes up. This will adjust the pedal sensitivity and engagement height of the brake pedal. I think this goes without saying but take care of this ASAP!
