Default LIM/UIM replaced still same issue!!!!

Hey guys, I just finished replacing my upper intake manifold that I got from parts network and aluminum lower intake manifold gaskets from GM, changed the oil, and when I went to start it white smoke started to come from the exhaust AGAIN!!!! What is the deal? Any ideas? I was about to ram my fist through the wall, but that would only cause more problems....

How long did it run? Maybe the coolant just needed to burn out.

eh.. Please continue in the original thread if there is one. I can't find it.

Thanks for the reply, the original thread was under "Crank Sensor" but Bill Boost suggested I change it. I dont know how long it would have ran, I shut it off cause I did not want it to hydrolock again. Do you think it just blowing old stuff out?

You'll often end up with coolant in the cylinders when you pull off the LIM gaskets. It could take a good 30 minutes or so for it to burn it all off. Change the oil again in about a week to 10 days.

Your right, I was flipping out because I thought the LIM did not seal right and it was starting all over again...I let it run for a bit while longer and it did clear up, thank goodness! Now I have a small issue with the gauges, they dont work. I am sure I connected everything. They light up but dont respond to anything,: RPM, Oil pressure, fuel, nothing is registering any thoughts on this little diddy?

Anyone reading this, please refer to the "Crank Sensor" post. This is a spin off from that....

Like Archon says, it will take a while to evaporate all the coolant that accumulated in your exhaust system. Keep the faith.
