Today when I was driving all of a sudden the car started hesitating and it felt like no gas was going through then I would step down on the gas pedal and it would jerk and still not speed up instead it started slowing down and it turned off on me a couple times but started right up. The fuel filter was replaced a couple months ago. I was on the freeway when this happened and was driving on the shoulder about 10mph luckily I made it home. Also the car had gas.

For some reason I am always having to put water in it. We just put a new water pump and checked the radiator and hoses. I do not see any water puddles. Anyways the day that this happened to me it was around 108 outside. The next day I checked the water and the reserve was empty and the radiator was low. I have taken it just to the local store and it has not done it again but I am afraid of taking it on the freeway. Do you think the car heating up could cause it do this?

coolant magically disappearing without any trace is a sign of a bad intake or head gasket I would think.

I've had two of the three Bonnies that I've owned do the same thing as you described in regards to coolant disappearing and both ended up blowing head gaskets within 2500 miles of it starting.

Both vehicles were around 120k miles.

As for the other issue...... not sure, but maybe it'* related and due to the engine overheating?

Ram, You sure about head gaskets blowing? If so, you are one of the very few that have had head gaskets blow on a 3800 at that low of miles.

Dontgiveuphope, I suspect a LIM (lower intake manifold) gasket failure. Check the oil, if there is coolant in it, drain it out ASAP or the engine'* bottom end will be destroyed.
