Replaced MAP Sensor, Light went out but still getting P0108 code?
Hello all,
I need to pass an emissions test to get my car licensed.
Yesterday, the check engine light was on.
Pep Boys told my that it was because of OBD II code 33 (Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor signal voltage high).
I replaced the MAP sensor and sure enough the "check engine" light went out.
I took the car to the smog-check place today and he told me it was going to fail because he was getting code P0108. (MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input)
The "check engine" light is not on. I drove it about 70 miles yesterday for it to go out.
How do I resolve this code (P010, from here?
Do I need to drive it more to reset this one?
I didn't find this specific info doing a search here and I couldn't find anything in the Haynes book. Thanks in advance.

Here'* the info I have on it. https://www.gmforum.com/obd-ii-trouble-shooting-153/p0108-284074/ It may be stored in history, that may need to be cleared.

Thanks for the link.
I looked at that before I posted.
I guess a more direct question would be:
Since the new MAP sensor turned the "check engine" light off but I still get a code, does that mean all is fine and soon the P0108 code will go away too?
Or does it mean that I am half way to being fixed?
Thanks again,
Douglas

Thanks.
I'm currently keeping track of how many times I start the car. After I get to 40, I will take it back to get tested again. If it fails, then I will have to take it to a professional.
