Yes, it'* pretty easy. A few bolts. You have to take off the plastic flywheel cover to get to a bolt or two. The rest should be easy.

Yup. And torque specs are in techinfo, specifications. Criss-cross pattern. I suggest half torque on the first pass, then full torque.

Use an OEM rubber gasket only, and take care with the oil level sender wires.

Yup, a pretty easy job. I made sure to clean out the pan while I was at it. Do be careful with the plastic flywheel cover piece- I busted mine.

When I did that on my old SSEi, I had to remove the too oil lines going to the filter housing, required a line wrench of a size i forget...other than that, easy as pie, the dealership gasket was actually 50% cheaper than your standard jobber price.

I busted mine also, but when I was doing my harmonic balancer. Being held together by duct tape, like the rest of the universe.

Not if you remember to put the oil level sensor partly back in before you put the pan back on..

Geoff asks.."you are jacking the motor by the pan that you just put a new gasket on?"
