99 SSEI How hard is it to...
Chang the Intake manifold gasket, valve covers, oil pan gasket and flush the cylinders, correct me if i'm wrong. These are words from a dealer mechanic after i have asked him that I have an oil leak and my vehicle is 96,000 miles.
How hard is it, for me to do this, I wat to save some money.

I've seen those leaks at each 'end' of the lower intake where it mates to the block sealed with hi-temp RTV. It'* usually in the 'corners' where it blows out. I personally think this job would be a bit less scary on a SC engine than a NA. I've done it on an L27 for a neighbor, and I've had my SC off, so that'* where my comparison/experience is coming from.
Very few of us here have been that far down into a 3800, but have other drivetrains numerous times. That can be a one day job, 2 at the most, if you've never done it before. Plan on buying a good torque wrench, but other than that, it'* all standard tools.

I really think it might be possible to seal this from the OUTSIDE if that'* where it'* leaking. Jseabert'* L27 had been done that way, and was only leaking from one of the 4 corners when we pulled it apart. If you cleaned it up real well first, it might be worth trying, rather than going all the way though it.
This is all assuming that'* where this particular leak is, but I'm betting on it. That'* the weak spot in the seals. I'd be willing to bet it'* not a head gasket. You shouldn't have to pull them. SC and lower intake should solve the problem, unless the rtv trick would work.

Just a thought...you might try to tighten all loose bolts first, but make sure you tighten them uniformly and not to overtighten them.
If the seals/gaskets are shot, though, obviously tightening the bolts won't help.
