Should all 3 throtle body studs be alike?
 

Should all 3 of my throtle body studs be alike and have a star head on the one end? 2 do and the 3 is just round with normal threads. I need to put my SC back together when Dan gets it rebuilt. I know the studs need to be placed in at 89inch lbs so that is what the star pattern on the end of the stud is for right? Just not a master mechanic so just need some advice thanks guy's.

They should all have the TORX head. I don't torque them, just get them tight and it will be fine. Torque the nuts when you put the TB on.

The "should" have the torx head like Dan mentions. Although as long as they are the same thread it doesn't matter much.

Want to know why one is different, because someone over tightened something and snapped one. While I don't torque them into the charger either, I don't go very tight putting them in. My procedure is to screw them in by hand, then using a 1/4" ratchet or hand driver and the E-torx bit (a small regular socker would pass in most cases) I give them just a touch that snugs them gently. When you put the TB on the nuts will tighten causing the proper torque, just like DTM says.
