Default Rocker Arm Bolts

OK Last night when i was putting my enigne back together from doing the valve job, and i broke one of the rocker arm bolts off... Well today I went out searching for a new bolt, I had a hell of a time trying to find one. I went to auto zone, advance auto, auto tech, and even the pontiac dealer ship and none of them had the bolt. This is what the bolt looked like... Why is it so hard to find this bolt

Is it possible i have after market rockers or something?

It'* likely a dealer only part, or is sold along with aftermarket rocker kits or the like. For the Series II you can only buy the bolts in quantities of 5.

the dealer said that the 93-99 bolts were all the same, but the bolt they pulled up on the computer was not the same one i have... They also looked at the 92 bolts and they don't match up either... So i don't know... Everyhting looks factory so i dunno what up.

Oh... I got the new bolt... yes i had to go to the junkyard to get it. What I want to know is why a pontiac dealer wouldn't have the bolt.

Bad dealer is all that pops into my head? If they really wanted the sale they would have looked up the right part # and ordered it for you.

I agree completely. And if they couldn't get it (not likely) they would have FOUND a place to send you. Think about how many of these engines are on the roads

Ok... I don't know much about the dealership... I haven't heard anything bad nor good... Oh yeah Will the rebuild is complete, but due to a shortage in money I can't get oil, coolant, or new plug wires, so starting it isn't happenin yet.
