one more time
Ok everyone, here I go one more time. I still have the code and light on for the P0106 indicating something concerning the manifold pressure. I put on a new GM MAP sensor sitting on top on the new PVC valve in my 96 SE. I took everyones' advice and had the light and code erased. On the way home (about a 10 mile trip) the light came back on and once again, same code. Will, Alan or anyone that could do some research one this and get back to me would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks
Thanks

I have done nothing new to it since I did the upper Manifold because of antifreeze loss. Remember? It started shortly thereafter.........as long as I was doing highway driving it would stay off, but if I did much stop and go in town it would come on. Then as soon as I did a couple of trips to work it would turn itself off again. Then it came on and would not go off, so I bought a new PCV valve and a new MAP sensor...........to no avail......now what??? A MATCH and some gas..........???

I've been chewing on this waiting for someone else who may have run into it. The only thing I can think of is a manifold gasket leak since the last work was done. It'* rather conincidental. It can be kinda tricky to get that rubber seal in the track and have it stay there when you install the manifold. Did you only pull the upper? Or the lower too?

I did the upper, but I did use the recommended sealant to help hold it in place while I did the reinstall..............How could I tell externally if the upper was leaking somewhere?? :?
