Common now, we want to keep it simple. I am prety sure that wouldn't be your first option! If all else fail, I would call a locksmith.

My dad locked my moms keys in the truck of her Crown VIc, but since we have CAA ( or in the states AAA) a locksmith came and opened it in 5 seconds. Ususally they cost $100 clams to open a locked car. Hmmm, CAA cost us $85 a year, so, it paid for itself in 5 seconds...lol

good times btw did you get it open :?:

Thanks for all your feedback except for the idiot in Montana that suggested breaking the window just to open the door. This is the best example of an ongoing faulty bias that people from the south are less intellegent than those from the North. If that'* all I could come up with I would probably be lucky to turn on computer to get on-line.

I was able to get in car by using very thin crow bar and a thin aluminum 47" ruler that I use in my golf club repair shop. Then I was able to bend it to get in position to push lock open.

P.*. Locked keys while I was in process of changing car'* brains to a Blue Streak rebuilt computer. Now she runs like a champ again She was running rough and the transmission was inconsistant in shifting.

Well, c'mon now, _you're_ the one who wanted help ASAP, with four exclamation points...

If I remember right, the factory manual for some rice brand (Toyota, I think) even suggests in _print_ that you may need to break a window, and recommends one in particular, either because it'* the smallest one in the car or the easiest to repair.

But hey, if you can get in without breaking anything, great...

Glad I don't have to live with the consequences of your proposed a dishonest deed. My life experience says to me that I will keep locking those keys in the car as long as someone other than me pays the consequences of my behavior. Trust me, I have had alot of experience in the past trying to justify dishonest behaviors of various kinds. Ultimatly the loss of integrity and dignity is not worth the small price of a window or a call to Pop A Lock for help.

Glad I kept my cool, stepped away from the problem for a minute and solved the problem.

I ended up learning to solve a complexe problem then feeling better for the experience. Try it sometime!!!!!

How long did it take you to get in with the ruler? I popped mine once in under a minute (sheer luck) and it took me about 20 minutes to get into Jseabert'* about a month later. Driver'* side on mine, passenger on his. I'll have to try again and remember the technique. Glad you got it.

I now carry a spare door key in my wallet.
