could you describe the noise in a little more detail?

Have you checked the PS Fluid lately?

Have you accidently put transmission fluid in the PS reservoir?

ps fluid is fine, and no i didn't put trans fluid
in the ps resevoir.
It only happens when i start the car and remove
my foot from the brake pedal...sound like the brake pedal
is having a problem retracting. brake fluid level is fine.
should i change the fluid?

Sorry for the odd questions, but they had to be asked.

Would you mind describing what it souds like?

Does it make the sound only in park?

Try to start the car, keep in park, then pump the brake. It could be the engage/disengage of the transmission. (i.e. your foot has to be on the brake to shift from park.)

Huh, that question came out of left field, maybe I just don't know where you are going with it. (Sidenote: my dad has always told me tranny fluid and PS fluid are basically the same, as far as the PS pump is concerned, no I'm not gonna put PS fluid in my tranny).

Check for loose heat shields. Sometimes when I start the car, my master cylinder makes some noise, and I think it'* vacuum building up.

its not a heat shield, because its not rattling. i guess it could be the master cylinder
its more of a pressure release sound. kinda of a squeky rumble. it only lasts a second or 2 after break pedal release.

don't no if this helps, not really sure how to describe the noise.
