Yeah it is expensive, I'd seen a link to the bypass you just mentioned, but I forgot about it.
I tried to build that bypass myself on a breadboard, and got close to getting it right, but not close enough so I gave up.
I found out that VATS was fine, as I should have known due to no issues with the security light, my MAF tip broke free and blocked the thermistors from reading.. :o

Thanks for the link to that, is it plug and play in-between the BCM, or does it go in place of the BCM?

depends on the car, on yours if its like the bonnie, there is a tdm. theft deterant module that reads the resistor in the key and sends the 50 or 30hz signal(fuel enable) to the pcm. the little board needs to be put in place of the tdm and send the signal to the pcm when the key is on

Mine is like the Bonnie, I have a TDM, and I knowwhich wire sends that signal to the PCM, so I know right where it goes, thanks!
