Really not a lock monitor....but with the keyless, the car nows the diffreernece with being locked from the inside, or locked with the keyless. If the cars locked from the inside and the windows are down when you leave the car, you can unlock and open from the inside and tha alarm won't go off/.....I don't think. But if you leave the windows down and lock the doors with the key fob, and try to do it from the inside the alarm will sound as soon as you pull the door handle.

Then you scramble for the key fob and try to turn it off before too many people realize you just set off your own alarm.

FYI Keyless doesn't give you that security system, only some SSE/i'* have it.

If you lock it with power locks or fob, and try to open it manually by the slider, THEN it goes off from my understanding.

Not the case with my 99. I can lock the car with the fob and then reach my hand in through the window (providing the window is down) and unlock and open the door. Never has the "alarm" gone off. :?

Doesn't matter.

Depends all on how the vehicle is locked, and how it'* opened.
