I just wanted to know Im replacing my */c coupler in the next week or so, i read in the techinfo its easier to remove the whole */c, do i have to ? and how much easier is it? And also i have 135xxx miles on my car i thinking i should just take it off replace the */c gasket and the lim gasket as well, Does that sound like a good idea just do it while im there and not worry about it later and does any one have the part numbers for the fuel injector o-rings and do i need a special disconnect tool? i read i should do those to while im there. One last thing should i do the fuel rail o-rings to? and if i so i please need a part number for them also.

Hi Irish..

To change the coupler in your year it is much easier to remove the charger. The charger takes probably an hour to remove. To change the coupler in the car, you'd need to remove the accessory bracket that spans from your alternator to the bottom of your motor with one bolt down behind the back of the motor. I would estimate that at about 3 hours. The main cause of the problem is next to your alternator (possibly one of the bolts for it) is a stud where the accessory bracket touches the supercharger, giving you no clearance to remove the snout.

I can't help but notice you are in Mass..about an hour away. If you'd like some help from experienced folks..holler and we can figure out a time and place.

that would be great cause i was just out lookin under my hood and it look the the lim gasket blow out kinda not to sue until i get home and look at it deeper, but my main thing it that i haver never done this type of work on */c cars before i have on all kinds of other cars but this is my first */c car to own and work on. and im kinda of nervous to see what im gonna find under there. :? But im gonna get all my parts first before i do any thing, that would be great to have an experienced hand to help out.

Irish..the LIM on an SC'd motor is basically the same an a regular motor. The only difference is your upper intake has a belt going to it. Otherwise..it'* the same. Depending on how many tools etc you have..it may be in our best interest to have you cruise down my way where I have air tools, 3 parts stores w/in a mile etc etc.

i have all the tools i need, but the only problem is that i ahve to work the next 2 weekends :( (overtime) we have alot goin on at my work, i so badly wish i could make it so i can meet some people and get this done. ill see if ican pull some strings where is it located?
