Default Running without supercharger connected?

Stupid question time.....Is it possible to run a car without the factory supercharger hooked up? I have a 1993 SSEi, and the supercharger coupler crapped out. The car is pretty much on it'* last legs, and I know we can fix the coupler, but was wondering if the car could be run without the supercharger? Either just use the supercharger snout pulley as an idler pulley, or find a smaller belt that would fit and not even go around the supercharger pulley? Thanks in advance.

If you wanted to use the SC pulley as an idler, you'd have to remove some internal parts. None of which would be easy to do. The necessary belt routing around things won't allow you to not use that pulley.

It shouldn't hurt too much to run with a cracked coupler for a little while. Just fix it.

He may not want to fix the car and it may be on it'* last legs and not worth putting money into.

Needhelp.. I have an old coupler... LMK if you are interested in it or if you've already bypassed the SC.
