Timing Pickup
Anyone know how to get the timing pickup off? I have recently had my harmonic balancer go out. I ordered the new one. Put it all back on. Try to start it, nothing. I take it back off and notice the timing pickup is shot. The gap between timing parts was too small and broke the timing pickup altogether. Now, I am in the process of trying to remove the pickup and am very worried that I will do more damage. It seems like it would just snap on but I cannot tell where it would snap from or if there is something special i would need to do first. Help is greatly needed.

If you are talking about the crank sensor, the exact gap is located in your FSM, you will need to use a gapping tool or something of the sort to measure the space.

I know. I did not do that before and thus busted the Timing Pickup. Sorry, moderators you can delete this thread. I figured it out, got it off and am going tomorrow to the local junkyard to see if I can pick up the part.
