Default 94 SE Oil Pressure Issue?

I got a 94 SE and i noticed that a few times when it idles the oil pressure dropped below 40 but didn't hit the red and my temp went up a little past 200. When I accelerate then the oil pressure goes back up to 40 and then some and the temp dropped back down. I got 5W-30 in it right now because it is winter. Is this a problem at all or is this a normal bonneville thing. Please let me know how to fix this if it really needs to be fixed.

use 10w40 and I am sure your pressure will come back up to normal.

I can't remember off hand but I think it might be a middle grade Napa filter. What is a good oil filter that I should use.

Some GM gauges are known to be crap, especially our oil pressure gauges which are always off on the negative side. I get similar readings as yours on my 96. Your sending unit probably needs to be replaced. If you want piece of mind get a mechanical gauge hooked up to be sure. The dash reading is not as accurate as a mechanical reading, and can change slightly depending on the electrical demand put on the rest of the system.
