Replacing transmission cooler lines, what to get?
One of my transmission cooler lines is looking a little damp at the radiator end, so I'm going to be proactive for once in my life and replace them.
My car was built in mid-1997, so it definitely came with the second versions of the lines. However, my transmission isn't the original (it's a SRTA that was installed sometime before 2005). Is there any chance the car could now have the version-1 transmission in it? Also, RockAuto has plenty of a la carte oil cooler line connectors available. The Dorman kits say they come with seals and gaskets, but does anyone know if I'll need any of those extra connectors? |
You should be able to remove the connectors. There should be a wire clip that you pull out, and the connector comes off. You can then put that on the new lines and your set.

97 should be thread in at both ends. Usually I want to say it's a 16mm wrench and you are all set.
Pick up a set and you'll be all set. |
I think its 5/8 Bill.
