93 Bonneville Water Pump Replacement addition.
Check out the stuff already on this site, it is good, but let me tell you about my experience wth my 93 Bonneville. The water pump went bad, noted by a 'groaning" sound that tracked the RPM. I followed all the steps found here, but there was no way I was going to budge the engine mounting bolts attached to the wheel well. Pure Rust. The only thing keeping the engine mounted part of the mount is the stupid bolt sticking out of the engine. (the top one) I sawed it off about 1" from the engine and the mount came off easily. there are still two bolts attaching the mount to the engine, and the old bolt still provides positional structural support, so it will not go anywhere. (just really torque the two remaining 3/4" bolts!!) This allowed water pump removal and I also replaced the attached hoses for good measure. Saved $300 bucks and now I'm gonna go have a beer.
