Hehehe.... I had a mechanic work with me to change my end links. I got all the parts in place, then said "How much do you tighten these?"
He got on there with an air wrench, zipped them on until they looked right to him, and said "That'* how much you tighten 'em."
Very exacting, scientific process

um ok. when i was puting mine on i had one side of the car up and the other sitting on the ground. both side where off when i started. so i did the drivers side and i tightend it down realy snug guessing about 40 pounds then went over to the other side and that one started to bunch up the rubber at like 1/2 the presure. havent pulled the drivers side wheel back off yet to check that side out. as soon as i finished it i had to take it to get aligment on it. so hopefully they might have set it there for me?? all i know is that i should have my car back on monday and i will be so happy.
ive been driving a honda civic for about 3 months now .

I drove my Honda for 8 months while working on my 93. I know the feeling.
My suggestion would be to put the car up on ramps, loosen, and re-tighten both sides equally. This won't mess up your alignment, btw. It CAN cause an uneven handling condition, and wear the over-tightened bushings prematurely.

I'm with JR...I tightened mine until they were close to (probably 1/32 ish per side) the edges of the washers. You can tighten them as much as you want as long as the brushing doesn't go outside the washer.
