Help I Need a New Tranny (4T65EHD)
My 1997 SSEi just left me on the road. The tranny'* shot. The tranny shop said that they opened the pan and found too many broken parts and to rebuild it would cost too much. So I need another one. First of all, do i have the 4t65E-HD since it'* supercharged? Should I get a used one or remanufactured one? From where? What cost should I expect?

By the way, the PCM was upgraded to an Intense Performance PCM. The tranny tech said that it caused the line pressure to increase to much for the stock tranny. I 'm not sure about that. But anyway, I found a remanufactured tranny from Jasper for $1967 + $400 for core. Does anyone have any experience from them? They say their tranny is much stronger than stock. Any ideas?

The tranny tech said that increased line pressure caused harder and quicker shifts. So the soft parts benefit from it but the hard parts that are already worn would be damaged. The fact that he found many broken metal parts in the pan would seem to indicate that.

I have no idea what they upgraded, and until you let us know what those items are, we can't really tell you.
I can tell you with your mods, an OEM rebuild will do just fine for 75k-100k under most circumstances.
