Default How does one remove the cup holder & associated trim

I have a 1996 Bonneville SSEI. The lid in the center console covering the cup holder and storage area has a broken tip and does not stay down. The button that releases the lid is also cracked. Removal of the lid is no problem but the trim is tricky. I see two screws holding the front of the trim down near where the cup holder is attached. I removed the screws but still can't pull this trim off. Where else would it be held?

I was told the screws are inside the storage space, reach inside .
You have to remove them from inside the storage area, the front are on top where u can see them, the back are hidden and u have to feel for them from the inside.
