removing the wiper switch pin

Hi all,

I'm trying to take off the old broken wiper switch. There is a pin that holds it to the steering column.

it looks like the pin comes from the inside out. Any ideas how to pull it out?

Thanks

Not sure if this will apply to your setup. But this is the Alldata for my 97 Bonneville. It might work.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

  1. Make sure lever is in center or "OFF" position.
  2. Access cover from steering column housing.
  3. Cruise control wiring connector. Note position of connector when installed in column.
  4. Pull lever straight out of turn signal switch.

Hey Mike,

Thanks a bunch, but what I was actually looking for was the wiper switch that the leaver attaches.

I figured out I had to remove the hub, the turn singal mechanism, the 3 torx bolts and the lock cylinder and then the front part of the steering culumn moved forward and I was able to access it.

now the big question. I've put it back together and it doesn't feel like the high beams are working. What did I miss?
