my car came with them initially, does anybody else still have them on theirs...? just wondering..

Are you talking about the metal surrounding on the three spark plugs on the side facing the rear? If so, then yes I still have mine on.

yup 2 on mine I think it had three. I also add heat shields/boots to all my plugs

I think the back 3 towards the firewall are the only ones I've got too.. although I might have them on all 6. Been a while since I've changed the wires

Here'* the GM #'*:
12045580 for 88 (3.8C & 3); 89-90 (3.8C); 91 (3.8C); 92 (3.8L) and 92 (3.8-1) engines. Group: 2.251 Qty: As Required!
On my 92 SE 3800 (L) engine I've got 3 on the rear 3 cylinders only. I'm planning on get 3 more for the front 3 cylinders too.
