Recommendations Please

Car is a 1993 SE

Gotta do some maintenance....Can I get some input on the popular brand/model numbers....

I am not looking for performance, just reliability as the car will hit 200K on stock engine and tranny next week.

Thanks...

For the Wires... I have heard good about the Beldens from Napa... I have used the Autolite Professional Series wires from Advance for some time and like them..

For the Plugs, Autolite, NGK or AC delco will all be good..

For the Struts, I perfer Monroes, A couple have used KYB... But personally I do reccomend the Monroes all the way around..

Just the basic Tranny filter and gasket set, Get it from Advance if at all possible... They sell theirs with a rubber gasket as opposed to the cork... And Dexron III for the trans fluid.. I used Coastal Dexron III most of the time..

A small note, If your car had the original Tranny pan gasket, very stiff, it will have a metal core with the rubber on the outside... If this gasket seems to be in good shape with no nicks or tears than reuse that gasket... The factory gasket is the best gasket...

Anything else you need to know just ask ;)

yes you can remove the cluster, and put an overlay on the gagues...they did sell them a while ago but i havent seen them in a while.....also you can remove the cluster and take off the Red 'gel' it will take you a few days to do this, but then just replace the PC194 bulbs with another color If you search for Harofreak00 he tried to change his to blue....

Just a question....why?...red is the easiest on the eyes on the night
