yeah i just called my tuffy near by...i hate to drive it now that the knocking has started. But they said they'd inspect and estimate me for free. So anything else i should watch for when i bring it in to them?

Orty, whether you can afford it or not, the fact is that you have a bottom end failure. No brand or type of oil in the world can help you at this point.

They likely did the procedure correctly. However, it wasn't detected until it was too late. Damage had already set in on those bearings.

Not necessarily. This is the result of the FIRST failure. Not the repair.

Uhm...we would prefer you don't shoot either. We can psot pictures of rice if you Must shoot at a car to relieve your frustration. :)

But seriously, I wish you better luck than you've had so far.

Unfortunately, that's what I was told as well. The job was done properly, just not fast enough. That's the worst part of a UIM failure, it can be bad for quite a while before the symptoms become noticeable.

Again, tho, good luck! I really hope we are all over-reacting!!!

well the guy at tuffy only heard my car for about a second before he diagnosed. Yep lower end...thus bearing. He just picked up a used 3800 and said i can do that but...i dont have the money or the time. I'll prolly just end up driving it until it dies and then buy/use a friends old car he has until i can afford a new car. Unless a forum member will make me an offer i cant refuse for my 95 green SSE (sig car) but alas she is very sick

Orty, where are you located?
