Default do SE and SSEi have different door moulding mounts

If they do, I'm not happy.

Nothing lines up here. If this door is off an SE would the little pins that hold the door moudling brackets on be in different spots than an SSEi?

The bottom hole lines up

but this is how far the top hole is off

I noticed my parts 93 SE just used the little pins and a screw. I believe the SSE(i) cladding has additional stick on things or something else that attaches to the pins that the SSE cladding grabs on to.

At least look at it. Maybe you can snag the mounts off it if they stick on or mount to the pins.

they are different. The SE moldings sit lower on the door (just like the bumpers are lower) and some of the SE doors do not have the lower "pins"

As for just getting the mounts, unfortunately, they are welded to the doors, so it isn't a matter of just getting new mounting plates. This is why, as with his car, the moldings are usually just double sided taped back on if the door is replaced.

Sorry, but it'* an SSE/Ei door, or tape Andrew.

Ha, Yep!, different!, just found this out the hard way myself!, bought a door of a SE model, and when I got all the molding off, found out all the pins needed to be 1/2" lower and didnt need the second row of pins period, but needed a few on the very bottom!, I procceded to take all the plastic clips off of the studs, and ground down all of the studs, and drilled hole and installed new rivots and had to drill a bottom row for the bottom clips also, { BEWARE!!!} just out a curiuosity, I measured all the studs in the very bottom row on the SSEI door, and the first 4 going left to right, are 1"- 1/8th from the bottom,
the next one is 1"-3/16ths from the bottom, and the last one thats closest to fender was 1-5/16ths from the bottom!!!, Glad I measured all of them befor I just drilled them all at 1/18th!!!
