Rattling and grinding

When my car is in drive only, at idle it sounds like a bad coupler sounds like on a supercharged car. The rattling is very noticable. Obviously i'm NA, so what the hell could that be. It seems to be at only very low idle RPM's; in drive on a warm engine. When the engine is cold and when i'm in park it does not do it, I think because the RPM's are higher in park on a cold engine. What are you're thoughts on what it could be?

It's the tranny if it does it in drive and not neautral. (P or N). Maybe a fluid and filter for the tranny.... Don't think it would be the mount.

Only when stopped? Maybe a torque converter?

If only doing it when stopped, it could be something as simple as a heat shield.

yeah prolly a trans issue if it only happens in drive, how long since your last fluid change? Check it out note the color/texture etc for anything out of the ordinary. I was gonna say maybe some rod knock but since its only in drive and not any other time, at least you can say its not that.

DOes it do it in reverse?

I'm suspecting a motor or trans mount. Metal to metal.

Although dropping your tranny pan and inspecting the magnet and filter might not be a bad idea at this point.

Today I put the parking brake on and looked under the hood and found the noise to be under the throttle body. It sounded like it was in the block of the engine but I don't think thats the case. The other thing I noticed is that the pullies for my serpentine belt seem to be a little loose or is a little vibration in those normal?
