anyone with a 96 FSM, a/c line pressures?
i'm fixing my compressor tommorow and refilling later this week, what should the pressures be for a 96?

A lot of the time the pressure in the system will depend upon the Ambient air temps, as well as Humidity level... I believe that the V5 has a bit more pressure than the H6...
95'* had the H6, 97'* had the V5... I'm not sure of the 96 Model year... Hopefully one of the members with a 96 service manual will chime in..

My 96 Park Avenue has the V5, and I'm not sure what the specs say the pressure should be running at, but when I had gauges on it, with the A/C on full blast at idle, it was at 30 psi, and then I reved the motor up, it dropped to 25 psi and stayed put. Even with the fan on low and the motor reved up, it would stay on 25 psi. So, I would say wou should be shooting for 25 psi, but that'* only what I saw my car running at, and the A/C works almost too good in it. The high side through out was from 170-190 psi, but it was only about 80* outside with almost no humidity. I think as long as the high side is under 250 psi, your fine.

I've been reading around, and it seems that the consensus is that the V5'* should run the low side at 45-50 psi, and 25 psi would indicate a low chage of freon. Hummm?????? I'm going to do some investigation, because if this is so, I'm low on freon!
