Raising the rear.
 

I know the rage is to lower cars these days, but I don't like that look, and it's not safe in Wyoming, where the pavement ends and the West begins.
The front end is fine, but I don't like how low the rear rides. Anyone have suggestions on how to raise the rear suspension a couple inches? Nothing radical, mind you. I just want it to sit up a little more... takes me back to the olden times when kids jacked up the rear of their cars and put 50's in the back. If you know what that means, you know about how old I am.
Anyhow, the rear struts are getting sloppy and it's time to change them. Air shocks aren't an option. I'm thinking about looking into those rubber coil spring spacers that 4WD guys use. Do you think I could put one of those under the spring on the seat??

If you have the auto leveling rear suspension you can do it easily. There is a load sensor arm attached to your body on the underside near the rear passenger wheel. The sensor arm connects to the suspension's control arm. I have played with this sensor, and if you remove it from the control arm, you can manually adjust the rear height of your car. I'd imagine if you modified the sensor, you can keep your rear struts extended more.

This may not make any sense if you don't have the auto-leveling option

I have the standard suspension, which I'm glad for when I hear how much it costs to replace the self leveling struts, so I can't do what you suggested.
I was wondering if I took the coils off the strut, if I could set one of those rubber coil spring spacers down on the seat, then put the coil back on. The ones I've seen are for 4wd trucks, so I'd probably have to cut it shorter so it will be able to curl to the smaller diameter of my car's spring's seat.
Does that sound like it would work??

yeah, i bet you could use the pucks but they would probably make it a little less comfortable in the back

I actually am thinking about using them to lower my car a bit but haven't quite decieded if I want to or not. As for the coil spacers that should work also. How much are you wanting to raise it? Most of the spacers I have seen are between 1"-2" thick.

You might check your local auto parts store also a lot of the time they will have the same thing for almost the same price but without the shipping charges.

There is also a set of the coil spacers you are talking about there also.
