Radiator Tabs.

Does anyone know the part number to get the radiator leak sealing tabs from GM so I could order them from gmpartsdirect.com?

8) Not me, but I did see them at my local dealer on Saturday. Could run back this w/e if you need.

Uh...wouldn't this be ultimately cheaper if you just bought them from your local GM Dealer?? The shipping costs alone would make them more expensive from GM Parts Direct.

I er was talking about getting you a part number only. But thanks for thinking that I'm nice enough to buy and ship them.

I thought about that, but I wasn't sure how much they cost so I thought I'd check, if they are that cheap then yes I could just go uptown and buy a couple.

The GM tablets are about $4 to $5 for a package of 6 tablets. Go to any Cadillac dealer, they are required in the 99 and older Northstars. But for about $2 you can go to NAPA, ask for Bar's Leaks HDC tablets. The HDC tablets are the same as the GM tables. You can also use Bar's Leaks G12BP (powder), 1 tube of the powder is equal to 3 tablets. You should be able to find the G12BP powder at any Walmart.

HDC or G12BP as mention by Will Gluelt

Why is this stuff "Required". Is GM saying "We don't know why it leaks, but this stuff will fix it???"

Radiator Leak

My 94SE with 126K seems to have a slight radiator leak. I'm not sure I'm ready to remove the radiator yet. Are these leak tablets an option and what's the best of these to use?

Thanks,

Mike

BarsLeaks works woners, if you just have a small leak. And it's musch more readily available. Tabs, powder, and liquid. Head o your local parts store, or WallyWorld and yer all set. Usually for under 5 bucks...
